Quartz sand is Shi Ying particles made by processing broken quartz stone. It is a nonmetallic mineral and a hard, wear-resistant and chemically stable silicate mineral. Quartz sand is an important industrial mineral raw material, is a non-chemical dangerous goods, its use is extensive, often used in glass, casting, ceramics and refractory materials, smelting ferrosilicon, metallurgical flux, metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, plastics, rubber, abrasives, filter materials and other industries. Xinhaotai Xiaobian introduces the difference between fused quartz sand and ordinary quartz sand.
The difference between fused quartz sand and ordinary quartz sand is as follows:
I. Appearance
The appearance of fused quartz sand is colorless and transparent massive particles or white powder. However, the appearance of ordinary quartz sand is mostly granular, with yellow leather bags on the surface.
Second, the performance and use
The refractoriness of ordinary quartz sand is 1750℃, which is generally a water treatment filter material made of natural Shi Ying ore through crushing, water washing, drying and secondary screening. The filter material has the characteristics of no impurities, no edges and corners, high density, high mechanical strength and long service life of the sewage carrying capacity line, and is an ideal material for chemical water treatment. The granularity range is 5-220 meshes, and can be produced according to the granularity required by users. The main uses are metallurgy, carborundum, glass and glass products, enamel, cast steel, water filtration, caustic soda, chemical industry, jet noise and other industries.
Molten quartz sand is amorphous (glassy) silicon oxide. It has permeability, is a form of glass, its atomic structure is long and disorderly. It improves its temperature and low thermal expansion coefficient through cross-linking of three-dimensional structure.
